Crossgates
Crossgates’ annual lights switch-on event is returning to Austhorpe Road on Friday 9th November.
Funded by Councillors Pauleen Grahame, Peter Gruen and Jess Lennox via the Outer East Community Committee, the free family-friendly event will commence at 7pm.
Before witnessing the suburb come to life with light, there will be plenty of entertainment to spread the festive cheer.
Oakwood and Roundhay
Join residents and local businesses for the annual Oakwood festive market and official clock lights switch-on this Saturday 10th November 12pm – 9pm.
The free family event includes children’s activities, local groups and schools conducting live performances, street foods and festive drinks.
Moortown
Meet outside Transform, 418 Harrogate Road, for that all-important moment when the lights spring to life on Wednesday 14th November.
With the festivities starting at 6.45pm, join the live performances and refreshments before the official switch-on at 7:00pm.
Meanwood
Start the festive countdown in Meanwood to witness this year’s lights switch-on, Thursday 15th November at 5pm.
Head over to Green Road, outside Mr Arkwright’s, for complimentary mulled wine, mince pies and live performances from local schools and choirs.
Selected shops have announced late openings to help you soak up the festive atmosphere of the family friendly community event.
Garforth
The festive spirit will be coming to Garforth’s Town Centre on Friday 23rd – 24th November for their annual big lights switch-on and beautiful Christmas markets.
As it’s the season to be jolly, be sure to enjoy the rides, market stalls, a festive farm, live performances and festive refreshments before the official switch-on.
Ilkley
Head over to Ilkley bandstand on Saturday 24th November to watch the annual festive illuminations lights up the town.
If you’re still in search of some festive presents, pop by the Christmas markets from 2pm – 6pm before watching the switch-on at 5pm.
Pudsey
Festive activities and a Christmas market will get your holiday spirt underway before the official lights switch-on event by the Town Hall at 6pm on Sunday 2nd December.
Drop by the craft fair in the Leisure Centre, dance to live music from the top of Lowtown and indulge in tasty treats at the food market from 3pm – 7pm.
