Is there any admission that bares the soul of a human being more than their first choice of vinyl? This cult rite of passage will form one of the centrepieces of the upcoming international Photo North Festival, taking place this November 9-11 in Harrogate’s famous convention centre.
Dean Belcher, one of the UK’s most enigmatic and creative portrait specialists, who has captured adventurers, explorers, musicians and now us, is bringing his 33, 33 RPM’ exhibition to the festival. He will also offer a limited number of portrait sessions for Photo North attendees with a unique ‘my first vinyl’ story.
Curator of Photo North, Sharon Price, said ‘We’re long-time residents of Harrogate and ran White Cloth Gallery in Leeds in its heyday, so we knew from the off we needed to bring so much more than static displays of images if we’re going to satisfy people’s appetites. So we have three full days crammed with uniquely stimulating cultural experiences, fine food and drink and a multitude of ways to bring people and photography closer together.’
