A chippy tea is a British staple, and there’s no better place to get one than Portside Fish and Chips. Based in Moortown, in the space that used to hold Atlantis, owners Kully and Avy Roda serve fish and chips with a twist.
Everything is fried in vegetable oil instead of the usual beef drippings. This small change means that many of the products Portside serves are suitable for vegetarians and pescatarians. Kully and Avy are also looking toward
the future, using only sustainable plastic-free packaging, and sustainably
caught Icelandic fish.
Who can resist a good deal? Luckily for the denizens of LS17, Portside has quite a few on offer. The menu has a variety of kids’ meals priced at
just £4, which contain a choice of either a fishcake, four fish bites, four chicken bites, or two sausages, along with a portion of chips and a Fruit Shoot. If fish and chips in front of the telly sounds like an ideal date to you, Portside offers the family meal for 2, containing two lots of fish and chips, two sides, and a bottle of pop. A family night in wouldn’t be complete without the family meal for four, with four lots of fish and chips, four sides, and a tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
Enter our competition below to win free fish and chips for two; deadline 31st December 2021.
