The Mid-level Managers of the Holocaust | 25th March | 6pm | Free
This event from The Holocaust Exhibition and Learning Centre will explore how genocide is shaped by the often overlooked, everyday supporters of the state. Award-winning scholars Dr Alex Kay and Dr Daniel Lee will lead the conversation looking at the motivations of perpetrators, and the ways in which ordinary individuals implemented genocide and extermination policies in Nazi Germany.

From the Peak District to world, the 11th annual northern extravaganza of klezmer music goes online in 2021 after a hiatus last year. Music, dance and song workshops are supplemented with talks, films, a Saturday night tish and other windows into Yiddish culture, hosted by tutors of global renown welcoming both Jewish and non-Jewish people to the wonderful world of klezmer.

Discover the cultural traditions of Jews from all corners of the world through the ages in this 3D virtual tour of The British Library. Through rarely-seen treasures from as far back as the 10th century, this exhibition takes you from Europe and North Africa, through to the Middle East and China to explore the relationships between Jews and their neighbours in the communities they lived in.

Connecting Small Histories: A Festival of Local Heritage | 15th to 25th March |£TBC
The Jewish Small Communities Network and Swansea University have teamed up to present an online history festival in March shining a spotlight on the heritage of British Jewry in localised communities from Bradford to Cumbria. Speakers will include historians, researchers and representatives of projects that connect, uncover and highlight local histories.

Menorah Synagogue offers its audience a chance to meet former Labour MP Ruth Smeeth in a revealing Zoom Q&A session. Vice chair of the Jewish Labour Movement, Ruth Smeeth was Labour MP for Stoke-on-Trent North, but left the Commons in November 2019. Ruth was vocal about accusations of antisemitism in the Labour Party, and has since penned guest columns for the Guardian and was selected to introduce Keir Starmer’s debut party conference speech.
