The Reach at Piccadilly | City Centre | Open now
Located less than two minutes away from Piccadilly Station, The Reach at Piccadilly hotel has opened
as the latest addition to Marriott Bonvoy’s Tribute Portfolio brand. The hotel towers over the Rochdale Canal and boasts 215 guest rooms and eight luxury suites that have been designed with a nod to Manchester’s industrial heritage, using the materials that were once carried down through the canal:
coal, cotton, timber, wool, limestone, and salt. The restaurant in the hotel, Lock 84, also incorporates the city’s heritage in a variety of ways. It offers an all-day dining experience of speciality small plates, using the best, sustainably sourced and seasonal ingredients from local suppliers.
Louis | Spinningfields | Autumn 2024
The team behind Tattu and Fenix are bringing a new offering to Manchester with Louis, an Italian American restaurant inspired by the streets of New York. The venue will have live music entertainment five nights a week, from soul singers and pianists, to jazz quartets and full swing bands, giving each evening an entirely unique experience. Akin to the era that has inspired much of Louis, the restaurant will encourage a no-photos environment, with an emphasis on lived-experience over content creation. The menu will feature handmade fresh pasta that will be made onsite from a dedicated pasta workshop, and a carefully curated drinks menu which focuses on American classic cocktails.
