Indulge yourself and a group of friends to some of the best afternoon teas Manchester has to offer.

Annies Restaurant & Tea Shop

Located just off St. Ann’s Square in the iconic Royal Exchange building, Annies – owned by Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine – is the perfect setting for delicious, old fashioned food.

A traditional afternoon tea for £19.95 is served on a traditional three-tier stand with a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream and preserves.

The champagne afternoon tea for £24.95 lets customers go that extra mile by adding a glass of celebratory fizz!

To prove its worth, Annies was crowned winner of the People’s Choice Award for ‘Best Tea Room’ in Greater Manchester at the Manchester Tourism Awards 2014.

Visit Anniesmanchester.co.uk.

Australasia (Grand Pacific Bar)

Manchester’s contemporary area of Spinningfields is no stranger to serving up afternoon tea.

The stylish fine dining restaurant specialises in modern Australian cuisine which combines Pacific Rim flavours underpinned by European cooking tradition with a blend of Indonesian, Southeast Asian and Japanese influences.

Australasia’s Grand Pacific Bar offers a decadent twist on the tradition by serving a selection of sushi and salad dishes with champagne followed by three tiers of sweet indulgence served with loose leaf or flowering tea.

The Asian High Tea is served to a minimum of two guests for £25 per person.

Visit Australasia.uk.com.

Cloud 23 and Double Tree (Hilton)

For high tea that is truly high, head to The Cloud 23 Bar situated on the 23rd floor of Beetham Tower in central Manchester.

Full length windows showcase an ever-changing skyline, the highest point to enjoy afternoon tea in the city.

Add a twist to your indulgent treat by opting for ‘G & Tea’ for £21.50 or why not have a glass of chilled champagne for £19.50? A quirky children’s option at £8.50 serves up unusual delicacies like chocolate fish and chips.
