It was all fun and games as Leeds Maccabi FC hosted a sell-out annual dinner at the Trudi Moss suite in Donisthorpe Hall.
The evening saw celebrity guest appearances from former Leeds United manager Dave Hockaday and former Leeds United defender Danny Mills who entertained attendees in an effort to raise vital funds for Maccabi.
Thom Kirwin of Leeds United TV compered the event and presided over the evening’s entertainment. The 160 diners in attendance enjoyed a slap-up two course meal before being treated to the comedic talents of Gary Marshall, famous for his appearance on ITV’s The Comedians.
The event was organised by Maccabi committee members Ben Lyons, Elliot Landy, Sarah Barron, Donna Pullan and Alex Ullmann and ultimately raised over £8,000 for the club.
Commenting on the event’s resounding success, Ben Lyons, co-chair of Maccabi said: “It was a pleasure having another sell-out crowd as we now do year-on-year. A huge thanks to everyone for helping us raise the much needed funds to develop and maintain our thriving club now consisting of 130 players across junior and senior teams.”
