A brand new surgery has been launched in Alwoodley.
The merging of the Nursery Lane and Moorcroft practices have resulted in the opening of a brand new surgery called Alwoodley Medical Centre.
Situated on Saxon Mount near Sainsbury’s, the centre opened in February after being commissioned two years ago by Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, which provides hospital and community services across North Yorkshire and north Leeds.
The new centre offers 16 consulting rooms and 70 parking spaces for patients. Patients can also choose to remain with their usual doctor/ nurse, or take advantage of the increase in staffing and expertise, while new patients are welcome to register.
Also moving into the practice will be services from Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, which is providing an outreach clinic service. Clinics will include gynaecology, radiology, trauma and orthopaedics, audiology, urology and physiotherapy and paediatrics. The Adel surgery of the Nursery Lane Practice will remain open.
