Makor’s Big Jewish Nosh Fest was a huge success.
Makor’s Big Jewish Nosh Fest attracted more than 700 people to the Etz Chaim Synagogue.
The Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Judith Chapman officially opened the event followed by cooking demonstrations, hosted by comedian Howard Lee. Stephen Packter escorted Cllr Chapman around the arena of food stalls, handicrafts and advice bureaus on healthy eating. Caricatures were provided by Andrew Maurice and Hayley Russell.
There were also demonstrations from Rachael Sarussi who conjured up a Libyan Mafrum and professional chocolatier David Mendez made dipped chocolate bon bons.
