Get ready for FRESS!, the new Jewish food and lifestyle expo taking place at Etz Chaim Synagogue on 27th October.

The expo will bring together around 20 of the UK’s leading kosher food and drink producers eager to offer snacks and samples (including vegan tasters) as well as exciting stalls relating to healthy lifestyle. If you enjoy a tipple, you’ll be able to tantalise those taste buds with an array of alcoholic drink samples. There will also be lots of activities for the kids in the form of hands-on creative fun.

Throughout the day until 4pm, audiences will enjoy an entertaining and inspiring programme of events at the live cookery theatre hosted by comedian Howard Lee. These include the ‘Three Men Can’t Cook’ challenge, with raring to go participants Daniel Gray, Jonny Mack and JLife’s own Elliot Landy.

Local entrepreneur Jonathan Straight talks about why a new to the market vegan legume he is importing via Australia is going to be the “next big thing” in healthy eating in the UK. Jonathan will demonstrate how to cook with the bean and provide samples for tasting.

Entrants to the ‘Great Street Lane Bakery Bake Off’ will be on the edge of their seats when after weeks of deliberation, the four finalists will be announced by the Bake Off judges on the FRESS! live stage. If you haven’t sent in your recipe yet, you’ve got just a few weeks left!

Ellie Ruhan, Makor events director, interviews Nissim Malca, distributor and expert on CBD oil about how cannabidiol (CBD), stemming from the cannabis plant, has changed millions of lives for the better.

New UJIA Shaliach, Snir Shoshany, accompanied by his partner, Kim, will make his Leeds debut, by demonstrating a trending Israeli culinary delight.

The FRESS! café, run by Gourmet Foods, will be offering a mouth-watering variety of tasty mini meaty street foods so you can make up a plate of your choice. All this and more for a fantastic, fun, family day out.
