Celebrities, including comedian and TV producer Henry Normal, playwright Peter Bowker and Leeds-born actress Gaynor Faye and TV Writer Kay Mellor OBE, turned out in force for the Leeds Autism Services Fundraiser at The Light, which raised £500 for the local charity.
The successful evening saw Italian restaurant Zizzi serve up a three-course buffet for guests, and Vue Cinema screen A Different Way of Thinking, a 20-minute documentary highlighting the work of Leeds Autism Services and its impact on local families.
Henry Normal, who has a son on the autism spectrum, Peter Bowker, Gaynor Faye and Kay Mellor OBE all feature in the documentary, as well as local Labour councillor Adam Ogilvie.
Proceeds from the event, which sought to raise awareness of both autism and the charity, will go towards purchasing new equipment and activity funding.
