Heathlands Village has been reaccredited with the top standard under the Gold StandardsFramework (GSF).
Three years after receiving its original Beacon Status kite-mark for end-of-life care in its nursing department, Heathlands Village has been reaccredited with the top standard under the Gold StandardsFramework (GSF), the leading UK provider of training in end-of-life care.
Although the staff of the Prestwich home were unable to attend the awards, Barbara Walker from GSF’s clinical management and training team made a trip to Heathlands to present the honour.
For Heathlands this was a double achievement in that as well as retaining its Beacon Status, the home also saw the extension of the kite-mark across all of its care departments.
Members of staff representing all care teams received individual certificates marking their success.
