Street Lane Bakery has announced a management restructure and the appointment of a new general manager.
Street Lane Bakery has announced the completion of a management restructuring programme designed to strengthen the business and support its continued growth as one of Yorkshire’s most respected bakeries.
As part of this new chapter, the bakery is delighted to introduce its new General Manager, Gal Shoulder, an internationally acclaimed pastry chef with more than 20 years of experience working at some of the world’s finest restaurants, luxury hotels, and culinary institutions.
Gal began her career at Food Art in Tel Aviv before moving to New York where she worked at the prestigious L’Absinthe and the iconic Le Cirque. She subsequently continued her culinary journey in Northern Italy at Sissi, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the Dolomites, and at Vigilius Mountain Resort, the award-winning five-star eco-luxury retreat.
Her passion for excellence then brought her to London where she studied at Le Cordon Bleu before becoming Head Pastry Chef at The Greenhouse in Mayfair, one of London’s most respected two-Michelin- starred restaurants. She later joined the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire as Executive Pastry Chef, overseeing pastry operations at one of the United Kingdom’s leading luxury hotels.
In recent years, Gal has successfully run her own business, Patisserie Gal, specialising in premium plant-based patisserie and artisan baked goods. Her work combines classical French pastry techniques with modern innovation, earning a reputation for quality, creativity, and craftsmanship. Commenting on her appointment, Gal said: “Throughout my career I have been fortunate to work in some exceptional kitchens and hospitality businesses around the world. What attracted me to Street Lane Bakery is its outstanding reputation and deep connection to the local community. I look forward to building on that legacy, maintaining the quality our customers know and love, and helping the bakery to grow for future generations.”
