A brand new event is coming to Manchester.
This year the Yom Ha’atzmaut committee is bringing a brand new festival-style event to Manchester.
Whether contributing, participating or volunteering, there’s a wide of range of Manchester organisations involved, including Jewish Agency for Israel, ZCC, IIC, UJIA, NWFOI, BA, Habonim, FZY, JLBG, BBYO, Maccabi and The Friendship Circle.
Jointly heading the committee this year are Eitan Sadeh of the Jewish Agency, Melissa Chapman of the Jewish Volunteering Network and Hila Kaye who brings her experience of co-ordinating events for charities in Israel.
The festival will take place at an exciting venue in North Manchester on 23rd April from 5.30pm. There will be indoor and outdoor activities, a large entertainment marquee with a stage and seating, Israeli food, games, arts and crafts, music, dance and sport. Many local Jewish businesses will be taking part and setting up stalls in a ‘shuk’ marquee.
