On 29th November, the UK and Israel signed a new 10 year technology and security memorandum, which will see the two countries work closely together in areas such as diplomacy, defence, and security, cyber, science, and technology.
The agreement was signed at a Friends of Israel business lunch, attended by 650 guests, to celebrate Chanukah.
Of the agreement, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “All my life I’ve been a defender and supporter of Israel. I’m very proud that the government I lead is also. It’s a relationship that’s getting stronger all the time. But we can and must do more. And that is why I am delighted to announce today that we will begin work on an enhanced and improved Israel and UK Free Trade Agreement at the start of next year.”
