He undertook a locum consultant post in Bradford before being appointed as a Consultant trauma and knee surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust in September 2014.

Mr Wall is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and undertakes academic teaching of undergraduate medical students and post-graduate orthopaedic trainees. He is a faculty member on many national and regional orthopaedic courses and is also involved in the development of techniques for cartilage regeneration utilising the latest stem cell based research in conjunction with the University of Leeds Bioengineering department.  His research work has been presented at international meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals.
