Normie Director, Josh Gertler, discusses his team’s winning achievements after being identified as one of the top estate agents in the UK.
Normie Estate Agents has had a multi-award winning few years as the company continues to lead the way for property lettings over any other estate agent across Whitefield, Prestwich, Radcliffe, and Bury.
Featuring in the top quarter of the Best Estate Agent Guide 2023, the company is now recognised as one of the best in the country for sales and lettings agencies in the local area.
“We were so excited to hear about the news,” said Director and Branch Manager, Josh Gertler. “It’s the only awards in the industry where every estate agent in the country is automatically entered and is totally impartial.
“To be listed in the top 25% of agents in the whole country is a big deal, and we are really proud of what the team have achieved.”
With mystery callers inspecting around 15,000 estate agents at any given time across the year to be considered in the rankings, every aspect of the business is scrutinised from the property listings and descriptions to overall sales performance: “The fact that mystery shoppers could be calling in at any time across the year means everyone has to be on their A-game which is something we already strive for.
“Our stats are always monitored, especially the property prices we achieve over the initial asking price. Marketing is also a big factor in the assessment, so we make sure that each of our properties are well presented using quality professional photographs.”
Josh and the Normie team have also scooped recent wins at 2022 The Negotiator Awards, an independent programme which has now commended the work of estate and letting agents for over 14 years. Highly Commended in the Rising Star of the Year category, Josh also celebrated a silver win with Normie as Regional Agency of the Year.
“Being a part of these moments which recognise the work of everyone in the property industry nationwide is a fantastic feeling,” said Josh. “You can feel like a therapist sometimes while doing this job – they say moving house is as stressful as getting divorced or a bereavement, and we definitely feel that sometimes when working with clients!
“Being a part of these moments which recognise the work of everyone in the property industry nationwide is a fantastic feeling. Believing in our vision to genuinely care for our clients feeds through in the results.”
“But the team genuinely care for our clients, and it feeds through in the results. They love what they do and believe in the vision we have.”
As a former King David High School student who grew up in Whitefield all his life, Josh’s local background has also remained a key factor in building trusting relationships with Normie’s clients: “Being a born and bred Mancunian definitely helps with the job. You can help advise new residents on all the local amenities and transport links based on the knowledge of living there.
“The Jewish community here is always growing, with families moving up from London and also younger people relocating from South Manchester. Prestwich village is up and coming, with no shortage of new bars and restaurants popping up around the area.
“Recent talks on regenerating the Longfield Centre are also boosting residents hope that the house prices will improve. It can only make the area better and cement it as a vibrant hub that people want to move into and be a part of.”
