UK Jewish Film (UKJF) has announced the winners of its Dangoor UKJF Short Doc Fund 2026 – five film projects about British-Jewish life that sparkle with Jewish pride and are sure to entertain, educate, and enthral.
The winners are Oslo Court (directed by Hermionie Oldham) where the beloved Jewish eatery in St John’s Wood opens up its doors to its glorious world of chintz tablecloths and delicious puddings. A rabbi walks into a halal fish and chip shop in Leeds and asks a very daring question in Fish, Chips, and Faith (directed by Miriam Rosenberg and Micaela Blitz). Rambling (directed by Jack Levy) follows group of Jewish Ramblers from Manchester finding solace, friendship, and tranquillity in the spectacular hills around the city. We’re offered unprecedented access to one of the last Jewish-run jewellery businesses in Hatton Garden in The Last Jewel of Hatton Garden (directed by Rob Kaplan). Misha Mansoor directed Mizrahi Mismatch – married for 67 years, this couple, who met as a result of a newspaper advert, are like chalk and cheese.
Winners of the Dangoor UKJF Short Doc Fund will premiere at the UK Jewish Film Festival 2026 in November!
