Sukhothai Chapel Allerton has just introduced a new special menu as well as a delicious Sunday lunch buffet.
One of Chapel Allerton’s most lauded restaurants, Sukhothai has Thai cuisine down to a tee! Owner Ban Kaewkraikhot opened the first Sukhothai there back in 2002, and it has gone from height to height ever since. Despite its long tenure, the restaurant is anything but stagnant.
Dazzling customers is a new special menu of over twenty delicious dishes. Sukhothai’s expert chefs have crafted a selection of 23 new and unique Thai dishes, each one a new creation that reflects the rich variety of Thai cuisine. From the fragrant herbs to the bold spices, every dish is a testament to the passion and dedication that has fuelled the restaurant’s culinary journey over the past 22 years.
One look at the menu, available on the restaurant’s website, will have you rushing to book a table. Our particular favourite is the Som Tum Mango Sorbet as a starter: a spicy Som Tum style salad made with shredded fresh mango, chillies, tomato, lemon juice, tamarind, and peanuts, topped with a scoop of mango sorbet. To indulge in true Thai fashion, mix the mango sorbet into the salad before eating. Follow this up with Gang Kiew Wan Gai
Tod, a new twist on a beloved Sukhothai favourite. Crispy chicken takes centre stage, paired with a smooth Thai green curry sauce, with peppers, chilli, and basil; this isn’t one to be looked over.
The new special menu isn’t the only addition to Sukhothai’s repertoire however! Available now in the Chapel Allerton branch, and in the city centre branch as of mid-April, a Sunday lunch buffet is on offer, reintroduced due to popular demand. Available on Sunday lunch times, 12.30pm to 4.30pm, the buffet costs £24.99 for adults, £14.99 for children, and kids aged four and under eat free! Explore many Sukhothai favourites, including authentic Thai starters, salads, soups, main courses, sides, and desserts. Those with dietary restrictions needn’t worry, as gluten free, vegetarian and halal options will be available.
Though not a new addition, there’s no way we could talk about Sukhothai without mentioning its bottomless brunch. Available in the city centre branch, the bottomless brunch takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 3.30pm. For only £35 per person, you can enjoy a delicious two-course set lunch, or three tasty Thai tapas plates, with bottomless drinks for 90 minutes.
If you want to head over and sample these culinary delights yourself, you’re in luck! Sukhothai is offering our readers the chance to win a meal for four at the restaurant.
