Try your hand at archery or wielding a sword at Royal Armouries Medieval Easter. See knights demonstrate axe combat or hear about the Secrets of the Sword. With combat demonstrations and talks throughout the day alongside the armouries full-time collections, Medieval Easter is a full day of family fun. If you love all things Medieval, then get your ticket for the International Jousting Tournament hosted by Royal Armouries from 7th to 10th April.

The Animals’ Wild Escape Leeds Museum | 4th to 6th April
The Animals’ Wild Escape is a craft project which challenges kids to imagine all the animals trying to escape the museum. You might create a sneaky snake, a stealthy sloth, or feisty fox at this open table drop-in event. Everything is free of charge, no booking required. Drop by Leeds Museum between 10am and 12pm to get crafty.

Rapunzel | Leeds Playhouse 5th to 6th April
This family-friendly ballet retelling of Rapunzel, aimed at ages five and up, tells the story of Rapunzel’s isolation and rescue from her tower. Great for introducing any little aspiring dancers to ballet performance due to its narration by leading British Actor Lesley Sharp, making the story easier to follow than a traditional no-dialogue ballet performance.

Treasure Hunt | Treasure Hunt Leeds | 1st to 30th April
Can you uncover Leeds’ hidden treasure? Solve clues and search the City Centre to complete this treasure hunt on your phone. Displayed like a WhatsApp group chat, Captain Bess will send you clues relating to a location in the city centre. Answer the riddle correctly in the chat to receive your next clue or
type HINT for some help. The activity takes two hours total but can be spread out throughout the day as long as you’d like.
