Stoneacre Launches Annual Chocolate Charity Drive

Directors of Stoneacre Properties Ben Jacobs and James Newman have supported Homeless Street Angels ever since the charity was established by twins Becky and Shelley Joyce in 2017. Each year Stoneacre runs a festive chocolate collection initiative, where the local community drops its donations at its offices in north, east and west Leeds. When 250 pieces of confectionary are collected, the business donates £1,000 to the charity and the chocolates are the given to the homeless along with the Christmas dinner that the angels prepare for them.

“Each year it has been a roaring success and we are excited about this year’s collection, particularly after what has been a very trying year for all,” said James. “We would like to congratulate and honour the angels for their work – they really do make a difference and we hope that we will also have the support of the community to help their brilliant cause this year.

“Ben and I take pride in our relationship with the Homeless Street Angels and a real pleasure in supporting the fantastic work that Becky, Shelly and the angels do. They really live up to their name. Each of them should be recognised for their tremendous generosity and sacrifice. Every day they take the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many – the impact they have is monumental.”
