Extension work on the Manchester Jewish Museum on Cheetham Hill Road is well underway, after a 2.9M grant from the National Lottery. The pop up Manchester Jewish Museum is now located in the Manchester City Centre Central Library which, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, is now closed.
Merton Paul, a long serving MJM tour guide, is pictured holding a model of the new museum, which will be opening in 2021.
The new Museum will house stories from Eastern Jewish communities during the Holocaust, and the Museum Cafe will offer freshly home baked bagels.
