Spirits were high as a whisky tasting evening raised over £30,000 for Camp Simcha.
Over 100 guests were given the opportunity to taste whiskies donated by Cask Trade – under the expert guidance of Simon Aron, who has collected, graded, traded, and invested in bottles and casks of Scotch whisky for more than a quarter of a century.
Rob Miller, who put the event together with Camp Simcha, which supports families who have a seriously ill child, said: “The evening was a huge success. The money raised massively exceeded our expectations and I am very proud of what the team achieved. It is great to be able to give back to the community, especially when you get the opportunity to taste fabulous whisky at the same time.
“Camp Simcha is an incredible charity, and I am very proud to have helped in some small way.”
Camp Simcha’s Manchester Community Relationships Manager Michal Black added: “We are so grateful to Rob – who made this event happen – together the wonderful support we received from Daniel Hamburger and Cask Trade for their generosity and time. We had a great evening and the support in the room was fantastic. We are very much looking forward to making this an annual event.”
