An estimated 11 million cars are expected to hit the roads today as commuters and holidaymakers bid to make the most of the spring break weekend.

Spring time means its lambing season for farms and estates across the country. Temple Newsam will be inviting families and young children to Lambs Loose in the House, a treasure trail across the country house to search for spring lambs and to learn about the joys of farming life. The Manchester Duck Race
Returning for the seventh year this Friday, the Manchester Duck Race at Spinningfields is a wacky day of family fun. Culminating in the outrageous rubber duck race down the River Irwell, the activities begin at 11am with craft workshops, an urban petting zoo, fairground rides and street food from some of Manchester’s favourite street food traders. With lots of great prizes up for grabs in the final race, it costs only £1 to place your family’s duck onto the starting line. May the best ducky win!
