Chapel Allerton’s favourite Thai eatery is bringing winter cheer with new winter specials and a range of Christmas set menus.
Sukhothai Chapel Allerton, a cherished destination for authentic Thai cuisine, has cemented itself as a staple in Leeds since it was established by Owner Ban Kaewkraikhot in 2002. Located in the heart of Chapel Allerton, the restaurant has expanded over the years, offering a spacious and inviting atmosphere
for guests to enjoy the bold, fresh flavours of traditional Thai dishes. Sukhothai also has locations in Leeds City Centre and Harrogate, offering its renowned recipes and commitment to quality ingredients in three unique locations. This festive season, Sukhothai invites guests with warm open arms to indulge in three specially crafted Christmas party menus.
The Krungthep menu offers a mix of Sukhothai classics, perfect for those seekinga variety of bold flavours, such as the mouthwatering starters which include tender Satay Gai (Grilled chicken skewers with peanut sauce) and other grilled delights. This is followed by spicy Pad Nam Prik Pao Gai (Chili paste stir-fried chicken), and Pad Prik Yourk Nua (Black-bean stir-fried beef).
For a more indulgent option, choose the Sukhothai menu, featuring premium ingredients. Phed Mango (Grilled duck breast in mango sauce) and Khanom Jeeb (Steamed dumplings) make a feature among other flavoursome starters. For delectable mains, enjoy Massaman Nua (8 oz sirloin steak in a creamy massaman curry), and Pla Tod Mamuang Himmaparn (Crispy seabass pieces in a cashews and pineapple sauce).
The Chiang Mai menu offers a vegetarian- friendly option with rich, vibrant flavours. Start with Poh Piah Hed Horm (Vegetarian spring rolls), Makhua Tod Mango (Crispy aubergine with mango sauce) and Khanom Pang Na Pak (Vegetarian toasts). For mains, savour Tofu Gang Panaeng (Creamy tofu curry), Pad Broccoli Gratium Prik Thai (Broccoli stir-fried in garlic and black pepper), and Pad Nam Prik Pao Pak (Chili paste stir-fried vegetables).
All three menus come with an accompaniment side dish of your choice, as well as a decadent dessert choice between Profiteroles, Chocolate Fudge Cake, or Mango Sorbet.
The restaurant will also be serving a select menu of winter specials which are not to be missed! This range of premium dishes is perfect for warming up on a cold winter night, offering an elegant and vibrant take on traditional Thai flavours combined into a selection of delicious new favourites. We definitely recommend tucking into the Gai Tod Sam Rod: deep friedchicken breast stir-fried into a sweet chili sauce with peppers and onions, served in a delicate nest of crispy egg noodles, but there is an assortment of other sophisticated delights on the seasonal menu.
