After raving success in Chapel Allerton, Opposite has extended its brand to encompass a second coffee shop in Meanwood. Known for its diverse and delectable drinks menu, the shop also makes a great stop for brunch or a cinnamon roll to go! Its industrial, yet welcoming atmosphere alongside its delicious barista made coffee has quickly made it a North Leeds fan favourite!
Caffé Concerto | Victoria Gate | TBC
Highly regarded London restaurant chain, Caffé Concerto, is set to open in Victoria Gate bringing its Italian charm and decedent celebration cakes. This award-winning Italian restaurant is well- known in London for its exquisite menu, fine wines, and indulgent atmosphere which is perfect for special occasions. A spot to look out for, Caffé Concerto is a go-to for dinner, drinks, or an elegant afternoon tea.
Knoops | Trinity Leeds | June 2024
London hot chocolate café, Knoops, has made its way to Leeds after a successful move to the north in Manchester. The café lets you customise your own perfect hot chocolate, from which percentage of chocolate you would like in your beverage to add-ons like cinnamon, mint, and orange among many other flavours. And of course, it wouldn’t be hot chocolate if there wasn’t an option for marshmallows, at Knoops you can try its homemade jumbo-sized marshmallows which are so big and fluffy you’ll only need one per cup!
STACK at Kirkgate Market | Leeds City Centre | TBC
Plans for a new food village at Leeds Kirkgate Market have taken a significant step forward for the trendy shipping container-style venue. STACK has recently been announced as the market’s new operator, STACK is a company which specialises in creating sustainable leisure destinations that offer a mix of street food and beverage outlets as well as events and entertainment. The reconfigured area will continue to accommodate all existing traders as well as new arrivals.
Kirkstall Brewery | The Tetley | Open Now
Since the reopening of the iconic Tetley building, Kirkstall Brewery has assumed the lease, using the building to continue the legacy of Yorkshire Beer culture. Kirkstall aim to create a contemporary and welcoming venue for people to gather in celebrating the history of beer making in Leeds. Its own bar will be serving Kirkstall’s beers as well as recognising the buildings heritage and including traditional craft and cask brewers, including Tetley.
RAW Coffee | Mill Hill | Open Now
RAW Coffee is a café which was recently opened by husband-and-wife duo, James and Anya, with the loyal support of their French bulldog, Roo. The pair fully refurbished the coffee shop themselves to create a stylish minimalist interior which would look perfectly in place in a Scandi interior magazine. Selling a variety of hot and cold beverages, as well as cakes and baked goods, this is a great Instagramable space to take your friends.
