From old favourites like the aloe and the monstera, to their more rare, tropical cousins, ethically sourced shrubs from around the globe, there are plants-a-plenty to brighten up your home.
The Plant Point – Corn Exchange, Call Lane
A jungle in the heart of Leeds, The Plant Point within the Corn Exchange specialises in awesome and unique potted indoor plants, succulents and cacti, as well as fresh flower bouquets to order. Established by sisters Sonia and Ada after not being able to source a hoya — a tropical climber that bears waxy flowers – in the city centre, two months later they created an indoor jungle on the balcony of the iconic Leeds shopping quarter.
The Perfumed Garden – 19 Harrogate Road, Chapel Allerton
The Perfumed Garden in Chapel Allerton first opened its doors in 1997, and is an established independent florist known for its beautiful floral arrangements for special and solemn occasions. Recently the team has set up a pop-up shop at John Lewis at Victoria Gate, introducing Leeds city shoppers to the joys of potted plants, succulents and unusual cacti and creating flowerboxes to go.
