St Gemma’s Hospice celebrates some royal recognition this spring.
St Gemma’s Hospice Chief Executive, Kerry Jackson recently received an OBE from HRH Princess Anne at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, this comes after Kerry was named in the King’s New Year Honours list for services to palliative and end of life care.
Kerry said: “I was honoured to receive the OBE and it was a really memorable day. It is a privilege to lead this incredible hospice and work with an outstanding team of staff and volunteers every day, so it has been very special to share this experience with them. St Gemma’s would also not exist without the supportive Leeds community who tirelessly help to raise the funds needed to run the hospice. None
of it would be possible without them, so I accept this honour on their behalf too.”
