The Royal Armouries Museum has been awarded an incredible £100,000 from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund – delivered by the Museums Association to accelerate the implementation of the museum’s participation strategy. The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund is run by Museums Association, funding projects that develop collections to achieve social impact. Since its launch in 2011, it has awarded 178 grants totalling over £12.9 million. The grant will enable the Royal Armouries to work collaboratively to build stronger relationships, amplify marginalised voices, and drive social impact through the power of its collection. In a LinkedIn post announcing the news, the museum gave a heartfelt thanks to the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund and the Museums Association for its invaluable support and belief in the museum’s vision.
