Homeless Street Angels provided for those stuck out in the snow during recent freezing temperatures.
As Leeds saw temperatures plummet below freezing and snowy weather on 9th March, Homeless Street Angels were out on the streets of Leeds city centre, providing vital food and supplies to those left without a place to shelter in: “Tonight was certainly needed for the guys we support – one of our worst nights this year,” the charity’s Facebook page stated: “Absolutely freezing temperatures and so cold my face hurt, I just can’t imagine spending the whole night in it. We managed to get a few guys a bed in St George’s Crypt, and made sure everyone we saw got everything they needed to keep them as warm as possible.”
The team were also accompanied by representatives from Look North, who were filming for the programme the next day: “Lots of thanks to Michelle from Look North for joining us, the Konexo team
and Franco Manca for our weekly pizzas-all helping to make a terrible evening that little bit better.”
