Greater Manchester has received £42.6 million of American investment and 795 new jobs from 11 American companies in the last 12 months. The country accounts for 27% of all foreign direct investment into the region, making it a key driver of its international growth ambitions.
The investments, facilitated by MIDAS (Manchester’s inward investment agency) include major commitments from US-based companies such as S&P Global, Fitch Global, Mark43, Greentec Auto, and Boom Inc. Technologies UK Ltd.
The investments, including global gaming companies and major consumer brands, span advanced manufacturing and low carbon, financial, professional and business services, creative, digital and tech, and life sciences.
