New eateries are constantly popping up in Manchester, so we highlight which of the latest new faces are worth checking out.
Onda | City Centre | Open Now
After going viral online for their tiramisu drawer last year, the team at Onda couldn’t cope with
the demand from their pop-up in Ancoats so have opened a new permanent location on Oxford Road. The pasta bar offers a small but special menu with classic Italian flavours we all love but with a modern twist, curated by Michelin-trained chef Sam Astley Dean. And of course, not forgetting plenty of their viral tiramisu.
Flat Iron | Deansgate | July 2024
Opening its third location outside of London and only the second in the North, Flat Iron is due to land in Deansgate in early July. The affordable steakhouse is on a mission to make remarkable steak accessible to everyone. With their signature Flat Iron steak coming in at just £14, the people of Manchester will soon be able to enjoy luxurious food and surroundings on a not so luxurious budget.

Treehouse Hotel | Deansgate | TBC
Treehouse Hotel, originally planned to open its doors in 2023, is finally ready to open in its second UK site in Manchester this summer. The hotel has fun at the forefront of its ideology, describing every detail as being imagined through the carefree lens of childhood, balanced with a modern sensibility and perfectly imperfect charm. Not only does the hotel boast 224 guest rooms, but there’s also two restaurants and a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city for anyone to enjoy, even without staying the night.
Royal Nawaab | Stockport | Summer 2024
Stockport’s famous pyramid, which has stood empty for over five years, is about to reopen
as an Indian restaurant, all-you-can-eat buffet and banquet hall this summer. Award-winning restaurant Royal Nawaab promises an extraordinary experience with a lavish grand atmosphere that promises a high level of luxury and uniqueness. The iconic pyramid building is well-known across the city and this new venture will certainly put it back on the map.
