Sinai Synagogue has recently hosted a range of events to make the whole community feel included and proud to be Jewish.
Recently, Sinai Synagogue has seen a huge upsurge in enquiries from people who have – for a wide range of reasons – become disconnected from their Jewish heritage. As the largest progressive community in Yorkshire, Sinai commits to ensuring the area is
a safe space where individuals and families of all configurations, genders, sexualities and levels of Jewish learning and practice can be welcomed and nurture a connection to Judaism.
Sinai hosted a pride Shabbat to celebrate it’s LGBTQ+ community. There was plenty of rainbow themed decorations and food to be shared all around.
Sinai also put on it’s own festival and show this year – Rosh Fest. The festival provided an alternative way to celebrate for those who might not have extended family or didn’t fancy another day of traditional prayer.
