There are so many ways you can get involved to help LJWB this season including some exciting challenges.
LJWB’s Community Pantry, based at the MAZCC, has been a vital resource for many people over the last few months. Please support the Community Pantry if you can by purchasing an extra item(s) while you are shopping in Gourmet and popping it in the dedicated basket near the till. The pantry also welcomes any household, cleaning, personal care, and sanitary items from other stores.
The items will be used to stock the Community Pantry which will be open during the following times: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9am to 11am.
This bonfire night, 5th November, the charity is inviting the community to take part in the Guy Walks Night, an afternoon and evening of fire, light, and fun. This community event will be raising funds for three organisations, LJWB, The Zone, and North Leeds Scouts and Guides, it will be at The Henry Cohen Campus from 3.30pm to 7pm and will contain a Fire walk and a Lego walk sponsored challenge plus stalls, activities, and refreshments, culminating in a fabulous fire and light show.
Tickets are £10 for an adult and £5 for a child and for those doing the Lego walk and Fire walk, while under two’s go free.
If you want to get involved, contact fundraising@ljwb.co.uk for more information or to sign up. Everyone is welcome to take part (Age 8+ for the fire walk)
