The Leeds Jewish Welfare Board welcomed the Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, during a visit to Leeds in May.
The politician, who was elected as the first mayor of West Yorkshire in 2021, was taken on a guided tour of the MAZCC by welfare board members.
LJWB CEO, Liz Bradbury, said: “We were delighted that Tracy was able to take the time to visit our community centre, have a tour of the building, and learn about the vital work and services we deliver to the local community.”
Describing the visit, Tracy also commented: “Seeing how the Leeds Jewish community has bounced back from COVID with creativity, innovation, and kindness was so inspiring. Whether on housing, transport, or culture, I know there’s so much we can achieve together.”
