The government trade envoy to Israel, Lord Ian Austin, has met with several renewable energy companies across Israel in order to boost green energy initiatives for UK transport.
The trip included a visit to Electriq Global, Eco-Wave, and EV Motors in Netanya, where executives demonstrated the company’s off-grid hydrogen-based hybrid charging stations.
“EV Motors’ technology, which is genuinely unique, could generate electricity in an entirely carbon-neutral way,” said Austin. “Fingers crossed, we’ll help bring it to the UK to create good new well-paid jobs and cut carbon emissions.”
A pilot project is currently being examined to install the charging stations in London, while EV Motors continues to import electric taxis from the UK for Israeli taxi drivers.
