The Leeds Jewish Welfare Board’s Annual Dinner returns this year with a special performance by legendary impressionist Rory Bremner.

Members of the Leeds Jewish Welfare Board (LJWB) are excited to see the return of the charity’s Annual Dinner event this year. With pandemic restrictions lifting, LJWB organisers have set up the dinner again three years after award winning comedian, actor, and writer, Omid Djalili starred in 2019.

Gathering everyone together to celebrate the achievements of the board, the dinner will also raise funds to support the charity’s work towards supporting the mental health and wellbeing of the community. The LJWB 2022 timetable has included over 30 weekly activities for its members, including yoga sessions, art classes, book clubs, and gardening sessions with the community allotment group.

“We are so delighted that our annual fundraising dinner is back, and we are able to be together again to enjoy an evening of entertainment and celebrate the work of Leeds Jewish Welfare Board,” said Chairman of Fundraising Simon Walton.

“Events may have been put on hold for the past two years, but our work certainly has not. We are receiving new referrals almost every single working day, and the demands for our help and support have become greater, more complex and more diverse than ever.

“All money raised from the dinner will help us to fund our community services so we can continue to positively change lives every single day.”

Renowned comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner will also make an appearance at this year’s dinner, performing a stand-up show to entertain audiences. Previous special guests have included Ruby Wax, Jason Manford, and Michael Portillo.

Appearing on many of Britian’s top comedy shows including Mock the Week, Whose Line Is It Anyway, and Have I Got News For You, Rory has also documented his own self-diagnosis of ADHD and is a patron of the ADHD Foundation.

The annual dinner takes place at the Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Community Centre on 22nd May. To purchase tickets, visit Ljwb.co.uk
