Local photographer Leah Cole is set to unveil a new art exhibition at Seven Arts.
Beginning her solo trips at just 18 years old, Leah Cole has spent most of her adult life traveling around the world, showcasing the beauty, connection, and reality of people with her photographs.
Swapping fear for fascination and celebrating what we have in common, Leah wants to unite cultures through the art and storytelling through her imagery. Allowing others to see the phenomenal diversity of the human race as we are, in vivid colour, high-resolution, bold and big, and now in incredible Fine Art prints. Leah’s portraits hold a cinematic, bold, and vibrant documentary style as she wants to keep the feel of how she really saw it.
Humanity Through the Looking Glass is a new exhibition taking place at Seven Arts through February, where Leah will showcase some of her most unforgettable portraits in Fine Art Giclee prints.
Born in the UK, Leah has always questioned the reality of issues we face and is passionate about exploring preconceived judgements, looking at global perception: “Being Jewish, from a young age I saw the effect of judgements, and how propaganda, fear, and prejudice were horrifically damaging,” Leah said. “I set out on a mission to see for myself, to share, unite, and learn not only about myself but the world and the people around me.”
